Chloe discovered her passion for the violin and fiddle when she was just 9 years old. After her first lesson she was hooked! For the past 14 years she has been fine tuning and expanding her skills on classical violin, bluegrass fiddle, mandolin, guitar and ukulele.
Chloe is currently a student at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, focusing on both music and psychology, under the musical direction of violin Professor David Neely. At school, she also plays fiddle for the University’s first Gypsy Jazz Band!
In the past Chloe has been involved with All-State Orchestra, Youth Ensemble for Strings, Junior Youth Orchestra, Youth Symphony Orchestra, UNL Symphony Orchestra, and local bluegrass band, The Prairie Creek Ramblers. Chloe has competed and placed in several fiddling competitions, including first place in the Homestead National Monument Fiddle contest.
When she is not teaching lessons at the studio, she is also the lead singer and violinist for the folk band, The Wildwoods. She has toured with this band in the United States as well as internationally. The band has made four albums, one of which was nominated by the Omaha Arts and Entertainment for local Album of The Year. One of Chloe’s original songs also placed in the top 10 of the Omaha performing Arts Songwriting Competition. Chloe and her husband have also released an Ep of their own music and several independent songs. They won 2nd place in the Shure Microphone competition in Chicago, Illinois and have performed on the Paste Music and Daytrotter Sessions.
With Classical and Fiddle experience Chloe’s gentle spirit is a great mix for any new violin student
